The Sidecar (French style)

by Pipo

It is hard for me to name a single most favorite cocktail as my preferences shift with the seasons and my moods. One of the few cocktails which work for me regardless of the circumstances is the Sidecar.

With equal amounts of cognac, triple sec and lemon juice, the French style Sidecar is a really simple cocktail. This makes it a safe order in a bar or restaurant, there’s not that much to go wrong (even though they always keep surprising us). The flavor profile is pure perfection, not dipping too strongly into any direction and keeping the cocktail soft, fruity, warm and tangy.

Quality of ingredients is paramount so don’t be a cheapskate!
